Not sure what to wear for your engagement session?! That’s okay, because I am here to help! Styling happens to be something that I am passionate about, so buckle up, I am about to send a TON of advice your way!!

1. Dress Up

My brand is classic and timeless. You were attracted to my brand for a reason, so let’s keep the ball rolling and channel that same class into your outfits. Dress up for some of your photos! Ladies — a dress and heels look so stunning together! Gentlemen — how about khakis and a sports jacket?! Getting fancy can be so fun, and will elevate your photos so much!

2. Don’t Match

Your outfits should compliment each other but NOT match. You know the early 2000 family photos where every family member wore denim and white shirts? Yeah, that’s not cute. Don’t be those people – haha! Ladies, start by picking out your outfit first. After all, you are the star of the show. After you have your look situated, plan your fiance’s outfit to compliment yours

3. Flowy Dresses Are Your Friend

Ladies, flowy dresses look dreamy for photos! I love to add movement to my images, so midi to longer dresses are ideal.

4.  Details Matter

Engagement photos are great to plan around your wedding day hair + makeup trial. It is so nice to be pampered and have someone else get you ready for your session. I also always recommend having your nails done. Your hands + feet will be in photos, so make sure to have those paws looking fresh! Speaking of feet….stay away from worn shoes. We want to keep that classy look from head to toe. Photos are a great excuse to go shopping for some new pieces to add to your wardrobe.

5. Be You

Most of my engagement sessions include one hour of photos with 2 outfits each. Use this as a time to embrace YOU! Have your outfits be a tool in expressing your personality!
