At this particular in-home session, I had the honor of photographing my dear friend Kyla, who is a first-time mom to sweet baby Lily. Being able to capture these special moments of Kyla and Lily together was truly meaningful, knowing that they spend most days together while dad is busy flying planes for the Air Force. These images of their bond will be cherished forever, not just by Kyla, but also by all of their loved ones as she grows older and they look back on these memories. Babies don’t keep! It’s moments like these that make my job as a photographer so rewarding, knowing that I have the ability to create something that will hold such significance for my friends/clients for years to come.

In-home sessions provide a unique opportunity to capture families in their own space, where they can feel most comfortable and relaxed. The home is where so many precious moments happen. Home is where families create memories that will last a lifetime. By photographing families in their space, I am better able to capture those special moments in a way that feels authentic and love-soaked.

Military families move frequently, so photos in Lily’s first home hold a lot of value. Kyla has such an eye for design, and I absolutely love the details of Lily’s nursery!
