A little fun bloggy for the middle of winter! Dreaming of our trip to 30A almost a year ago to celebrate our best girl getting married!
In lieu of a traditional bachelorette, my sister asked for a simple mother/daughter beach trip with all of her favorite things — coffee shops, walks, and hanging on the beach.
For our trip we ended up going to Seaside Florida and it was the perfect destination! Everything is so pretty, clean, and very kid friendly! We had a fresh 1 year old along for the trip and I felt like she fit in with everything that we did perfectly! I am big on kids doing what you are doing vs planning activities around their wants.

Here are some of our favorite things that we did/ate:
Black Bear Bread Co – a whole vibe and everything that we ordered was 10000000/10. Worth the line!
Old Florida Fish House – more expensive but great for a special dinner! Make a resi. The key lime pie was to die for!
Pickles Sandbar – a Seaside necessity!
Nigel’s Bananas – the perfect late night dessert
Pizza by the Sea – this was definitely not the best pizza that I have ever had but it was quick, easy, affordable, and I appreciate their branding haha
Shopping at the Poeta store! There are also plenty of cute shops in the main town square of seaside as well as lots of yummy food trucks.
Raw + Juicy – Stunning, healthy, super cool elevated vibes, nice playground of kids — this may have been my absolute favorite!
We ended up staying at a family friend’s beach house but there are so many cute places to rent in the area! Bonus points if the beach house has bikes and a golf cart! We didn’t have a golf cart but we did rent a small car from Turo and didn’t have any issues with parking.
Other things we did to make this trip special….
Custom sugar cookies from a favorite of ours – Three Melons Bake Shop
Matching pjs – linking them here 🙂
One evening we had a movie night in bed with Jenni’s ice cream while we watched Aquamarine. This was one of our favorite childhood movies. To add to the night I also surprised everyone with starfish earrings – IYKYK. Linking them here!
Our trip was also so special because it fell over Mother’s Day, truly the icing on the cake to a perfect first Mother/Daughter trip!
Until next time AKA when I find time to blog while also being a SAHM,
Lauran
