The Lovelands!!! You guys — this was such a special day! My sweet Nicole married her high school sweetheart and not only did I get to be there for her, but I also got to photograph it! Nicole is my cousin and built in bestie. Getting to be on the east coast for her wedding was such a blessing! Nicole & Robert grew up alongside Duke and I. They have been with each other through many different stages of life, and seeing them commit to forever together is simply the best. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them as they continue to tackle life together as best friends. Fun fact, these two also share a birthday! Oh how I love them!

Nicole planned her dream day in three months and it was perfection!! She put so much thought into every detail. These two celebrated their marriage at Robert’s family estate in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The watercolor invite is of their Liberty Furnace property. As you will see in the images that follow, the property is STUNNING. Nicole had this painting done of the waterwheel located on the family property for Robert for Christmas. Tori Leigh Studio, located in Charlottesville, did such an amazing job at capturing the beauty of this special spot. Nicole was able to reuse the painting on her wedding invites – so cool!

After having an intimate ceremony and brunch, The Lovelands moved the celebration to the Woodstock Brewhouse where there was a more extensive guest list. You will see these beautiful invites below as well.

Nicole’s beautiful engagement ring is vintage and was sourced from Europe. Talk about obsessed!!!

The garden tea party setting that Nicole envisioned for her day was perfection and so “her”. We have been talking about this day since we were kids and seeing it come to life was a dream.

Vintage dishes, her momma’s table linens, her dad’s wheelbarrow….so much love in every detail.

My gal and her dress. Nicole found her dress at a bridal store that sells retired sample gowns. It was truly the perfect dress for her. Her colorful personality shined through her sequined shoes and whimsical bouquet.

It was so fun to be the wedding photographer and also get to be in some of the photos myself! I could not have done it without my second pair of hands — Nicole Cooper Photography. We make quite the photo duo, haha!

During my speech at the reception I shared a poem that I had recently heard and loved…

My uncle’s antique Ford was such a photogenic addition to the day. He has had this truck since he was 14 and has restored it multiple times over the years.

Family weddings are so fun! I loved getting to photograph my favorite people — and be in some photos too! My sweet Sybbie was the best reception date and it was so special to have her there with me!
